Notes from the atelier
01
The cloth remembers the hand.
Every piece on the table was shot the same way a tailor
would lay it before cutting — flat, squared to the light,
nothing propped or pinned into a pose it wouldn't hold on
its own. What you nudge here is the actual photograph, not
a rendering of one.
02
Dye is pressed, not painted.
Each tint is a real filter run against the real garment —
the same grain, the same seams, the same fall of shadow,
just carried through a different bath. Nothing here is a
flat color swapped in behind the fabric's back.
03
Fit is a conversation, not a slider.
Size sets the frame; the fine controls are for the last
five percent — the part a size chart never quite settles.
Worn together, two honest sizes can still sit at odds with
each other, and that's worth seeing before it's worth
owning.
Object no. 04 of an ongoing series. Every measurement on this
table was taken from the garment itself.
